Community Mental Health Care Coordinator

As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA - York Region and South Simcoe Branch facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.

Mental Health Educator

The Relief Mental Health Educator effectively delivers education workshops and information to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, clarifying the work of CMHA, with the goal being to help reduce stigma of mental illness in our community, raise profile of CMHA with corporate and community partners, increase awareness of CMHA programs and services, the importance of Mental Health and prominence and impact of Mental Illness, and contribute to promoting CMHA brand and mission.

Case Manager #2020-016

The Case Manager – Mental Health and Justice Program assists youth and adults (aged 12 years and older) who have a mental illness or dual diagnosis (mental health and developmental disability, traumatic brain injury or concurrent disorder) and are in conflict with the law. The Case Manager assesses individuals’ eligibility for Mental Health Diversion, and facilitates the process for those meeting the requirements.

The Social Worker collaborates with clients to provide individualized and flexible clinical counseling that will build relationships with clients and offers supports to promote recovery and prevent housing instability. The social worker counsels individuals and family members regarding behavioural modifications, symptom management, rehabilitation, social adjustment and financial assistance.
