About the presenters

Alison O'Rourke has worked in insurance for over 15 years, spending a decade in the London market as a Lloyd’s broker and underwriter. Upon her return to Canada in 2011 she worked as an underwriter for a large Canadian insurer, underwriting Errors & Omissions and Cyber Liability insurance for various companies and professional firms. Since joining BMS Canada Risk Services Ltd. in July 2015, Alison has focused on developing and managing insurance programs for large national associations and advising them on various areas of coverage including Professional Liability and Directors & Officers Liability insurance.

Alex Ostola joined the BMS team in January 2014, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto. As a broker and account manager, Alex works closely with insurers and associations to develop sophisticated risk management solutions. With French as his native language, Alex provides an extra level of support to French-speaking members across Canada.

What's a webinar?

Think of a webinar as a way to attend a conference without leaving your workplace or home. Using your computer and telephone, you can hear a presentation (like a conference call) and also see the presenter's slides (watching over an internet connection). You won't be able to see the presenter, or others attending the program -- and they won't be able to see you. You will be able to ask questions - the webinar can be as interactive as you want to make it. The webinar will also be recorded and made available to you after the session, so there's no need for frantic note-taking!
