Peer Social Recreation Assistant

This is a non-clinical peer role, reporting to the Clinical Manager, Case Management & Health and Wellness Programs. The Peer Social Recreation Assistant provides support and transportation for the Health and Wellness Program group activities and outings, and to large agency wide events for persons engaging in services. This position promotes wellness and recovery through community involvement and group participation, and endeavors to meet clients’ physical, social, emotional, intellectual and cultural needs and interests.

Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta Dish, Score, Wish ball hockey tournament volunteer

Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta is hosting our annual ball hockey tournament called Dish, Score, Wish on April 4, 2020. We are looking for volunteers to assist in set up, take down, and to help referee.

EPIC – Active Discovery

Active Discovery is a structured, play-based program aimed at providing children and youth increased opportunity to participate in physical activity according to their abilities and preferences. The surrounding environment will be set up to encourage children and youth engage in games, engage with different equipment, and play common gym games with additional supports such as visuals, timers, etc. Our program focuses on proportionate expectations and support resulting in success!
