Outreach Worker

The Mobile Jewish Response to Homelessness outreach van program operates 6 times per week (Monday – Thursday 6pm-12am, Saturday 6pm-12am, and Sundays 12pm-6pm) in the downtown Toronto area. The Outreach Worker facilitates the distribution of essential supplies such as food, coffee, clothing, hygiene products, and harm reduction supplies to those who live on or near the street. The Outreach Worker also provides supportive services and referrals to other community organizations as needed. As this program is a hands-on volunteer opportunity in which each shift includes the participation of three volunteers, including youth, the Outreach Worker is responsible for an educational component as well.

Bilingual – Medical Receptionist / Réceptionniste médical

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of clients in Primary Care. The basic functions of the position are phone and client reception, client intake, booking of appointments, chart preparation and maintenance, and rostering of clients.

Promotion and Community Outreach Coordinator, Part-time

MADD Canada is currently looking to fill a part time (21 hours a week) coordinator position in Regina, SK. This is a Home based position with benefits. Hours are: Monday – Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm (1 day will be till 3 pm).

Shelter Intake Worker – Part Time Weekend

Weekend Part-Time Shelter Intake Workers provides coverage Friday-Monday (between 15 and 22.5 hours each weekend) at all CONC shelters. Weekend Part-Time Shelter Intake Workers are also offered relief hours for evening, overnight and daytime shifts as applicable. Available Shift groupings are currently as follows:
Grouping A; 830a-430p-Sat-Sun (at Lansdowne)
Grouping B: 1230a-830a Sat/Sun 430p-1230a (at Lansdowne)
Grouping C: 12a-8a (Fri, Sat@ Bloor), (Sun @ Lansdowne)
Grouping D: 12a-8a (Fri, Sat@ Bloor), (12:30 to 8:30am Sun @ Lansdowne)

In this role, you will complete intake and initial assessments for community members facing multiple barriers including experiences of homelessness, physical and mental health challenges, substance use, social isolation, histories of abuse and trauma, immigration, and histories within the criminal justice system. You are a member of The Breaking Barriers Team that initiates Life Management, Health & Wellness, Income Security and Sustainable Housing supports to develop and coordinate effective case plans for shelter clients. The successful candidate for this role is highly motivated to support vulnerable people in truly transforming their lives. This role reports to the Manager of Shelter Operations. This is a unionized position.
