Events and Communications Administrator

The Events and Communications Administrator position is responsible for organizing events and forums to support the objectives related to outreach, research, program delivery and evaluation for the Essential Skills for Employment project. The position will also support logistical organization for events, internal and external communication, online community building and stakeholder outreach.

ABOUT YWCA ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
The Essential Skills for Employment project is a national four-year initiative designed to improve the awareness of adult learning, literacy, and essential skills among partners, stakeholders and employers, as well at the application and integration of literacy and essential skills into their programs and activities. The project is currently in its third phase, and aims to build on the promising practices and lessons learned that emerged from YWCA Toronto’s 2010 Essential Skills for Employment project, and the 2019 YWCA Building Sustainable Futures project. This project aims to expand its reach within the collaborator communities through various knowledge exchange initiatives, in order to build capacity among collaborators, partners, employers, and other stakeholders who are supporting vulnerable communities to gain access and engage in the workforce.

Instructor Therapist

The TRE-ADD Program at Surrey Place is seeking an Instructor Therapist to provide individualized ABA treatment to children and youth up to the age of 18 within Section 23 classrooms. Clients receiving service in this program have a diagnosis of Autism and other Developmental Disorders and exhibit severe behavioural, communication, socialization and learning challenges. Clinical supervision and guidance will be provided by a Supervising Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor.

Please note that Instructor Therapists may on occasion be reassigned to other Section 23 classrooms to support short term clinical needs.

Counsellor

This position is responsible for providing individual, family, and group counselling case management, education, advocacy, and consultation to support youth and their families or caregivers presenting with mental health, emotional or behavioural issues. YouthLink serves youth ages 12-21 for ongoing counselling, and ages 0-24 for walk-in counselling.

Accountant

Minimum 7 years of progressive financial and accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years of financial reporting experience; previous working experience with various industries is preferable.

Youth Outreach Worker

This position carries responsibility for prevention, early intervention, program development and outreach services to youth and families. This position is responsible for reaching out to marginalized youth and providing information and referral to a range of community supports and services. This position is responsible for providing brokerage and advocacy and entails working collaboratively with youth, parents and community service providers.

The role of the Pathways Tutor is to provide academic support and to engage in positive role modeling for youth during program time.
