Web and Social Media Editor
We are looking for a Web and Social Media Editor to support the day-to-day operations of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO), the professional body that represents the nursing profession in Ontario.
You are a multi-talented individual who is creative and tech savvy. With a firm understanding of the association’s work, you will help us build on our web and social presence.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will oversee RNAO’s website and the association’s Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts with the expectation of continued engagement and growth.
You understand that social media is a form of marketing and will use your skills to create, edit and share well-written copy (including headlines and news briefs).
- Prompt and accurate updating and maintenance of RNAO’s website
- Writing, editing and uploading web-ready content
- Raising awareness of RNAO initiatives using our social media channels
- Developing online campaigns to improve brand awareness

You have a university degree or community college diploma in journalism or corporate communications or web development and up to two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of educational experience or training. Excellent writing skills are a must along with knowledge of website navigation, and an understanding of social media user behavior.
This is a full-time position commencing immediately with a starting salary of $56,000 plus a full benefits package.
