About the role: Reporting to the Director HR, the HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services and solutions to assigned sites. This role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, providing expert guidance on HR policies, programs, and practices while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment. The Intermediate HR Generalist will lead or support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development, and support of the Director of HR.

As the successful candidate, you have:

  • Acted as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace issues and HR policies.
  • Can address employee concerns promptly and participate in/ conduct investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring fair and effective resolution.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and engagement across the organization, and especially within the team.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and offer negotiations for assigned business sites.
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent, particularly in hard-to-fill roles.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure a positive and seamless integration for new hires.
  • Support managers in implementing performance review processes.
  • Identify training and development needs and facilitate employee learning opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment standards, and organizational policies.
  • Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks as needed/ requested by Director, HR.
  • Oversee benefits enrollment, inquiries, and issue resolution, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance HR service delivery.

Qualifications…..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; and /or
  • 2+ years of recent progressive HR experience, including employee relations, HRIS, recruitment, and HR program administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems, is a must!
