Lead with vision and purpose, developing transformative strategies alongside the Board and community partners. Inspire organizational excellence by promoting alignment through our vision, mission and values cultivating a culture where people and purpose thrive. Lead with faith and compassion: As a faith-based organization, The Lighthouse seeks a leader who embodies and actively lives out Christian values and can offer hope, grace, and servant-leadership in all areas of the role. Strengthen community partnerships with mental health providers, housing agencies, faith groups, businesses, and all levels of government. Be the public voice of The Lighthouse: building awareness, advocating for systemic change, and stewarding donor relationships. Oversee $4.3 million budget to ensure the organization’s continued operations and longevity. Leads fundraising strategy, cultivates key donor relationships, oversees grant applications, and works with the Development team to promote The Lighthouse signature events and ensure strong donor engagement.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS TO LEAD
Has a minimum of 10 years in senior leadership, ideally in nonprofits addressing housing/homelessness. Can thrive in complexity: leading a multi-service, 85+ staff organization with dozens of partners, 100+ volunteers, and multiple funding streams. Builds and establishes relationships with key community partners, including those representing the highest levels of business, government, hospital and nonprofits. Experienced in fundraising and building donor relationships, overseeing a budget of $4.3 million. Builds and strengthens a wellness leadership capacity through the organization, including prioritizing and enhancing organizational psychological health and creating opportunities for employees to be well. Knowledge of municipal, county, provincial and federal organizational structure and pertinent legislation. Adept at developing negotiation strategies, supporting collaborative relationships, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements Serves as the public spokesperson and external representation of The Lighthouse in public through media, conferences, professional organizations, work events, community forums and city council.
